                                                       About Us

Poetic Styles is a monthly open mic event that focuses on spreading awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and making a change in our community. Established in 2010 it is very important for us to share and spread awareness about this chronic illness.

We not only try to educate our community but it is important that they become involved as well. Our events consist of poetry, music and song to entertain our guest. We allow children ages five and up to participate once a month by sharing their talents.

We are a family oriented, inspirational and positive environment trying to change the future for our youth and community.

Let your voice be heard, be informed and get involved. Stay positive and know that change does not happen over night. With Christ anything is possible.

                                                           Our Mission

Located in inner - city Boston, Poetic Styles is a family - oriented, inspirational, and motivational  group of people. We are committed to promoting positive interactions, outlooks and environments through events and fundraisers we host throughout the year.

Poetic Styles educates, engages, and offers support to individuals, families, and the
community. We do this by providing information, spreading awareness and sharing personal  stories about various chronic illnesses.

We are a multi - generational community of artists, offering opportunities
to youth as young as 5 years old, allowing them to showcase their talents once a month. We encourage all to participate in our events which consists of, but are not
limited to poetry, spoken word, music, song, rap, and dance. We offer additional
support by fostering those talents.

Our goal is to ultimately have a transformative and positive impact in the
day - to - day  interactions of individuals, families and the community
affected by these chronic illnesses, through artistic expression.
